Help Support Me Becoming A Special Education Teacher!

Hey! For those those that don't know, I'm Jessie! 

Yes - I'm an artist but I'm also a Mom to a disabled kid. My oldest kid was diagnosed as Autistic, nonspeaking with Sensory Processing Disorder before he was 2. His diagnosis really open

ed up my husband & mines style of parenting & just generally being flexible with different kinds of people.

After parenting him & his 2 neurotypical kids for 6 years, I realized that I was not only good at this but I also loved it. I loved learning new things from my oldest & trying new things with him. In the 6 years, I also grew my social media platform where I advocated for Autism Acceptance & encouraged parents to challenge their negative stereotype around Autism.

In 2023, I joined my school district & started subbing as 

a Paraeducator. I worked with an array of K-5 students but eventually found my home with SPED Preschoolers after 6 months. After a consistent year in this classroom, my 

self-confidence grew & I've made the decision to go back to school to become a Special Education Teacher!

I'm so incredibly passionate about helping different abilities of kids & providing comfort to families in such a vulnerable time. As a parent, I get it. As a teacher, I can actually help more. I NEVER thought I'd be going back to school, but here we are!

As we know, furthering any education is expensive & I'm asking for any assistance! Starting now (when classes start), all funds I make from art go directly towards my tuition.
